on the same loom.
Tucked in the historic weaving quarters of Badibazar, our atelier is run by master karigars who have passed the craft from father to son. Every Khalid Silk saree is woven by hand — sometimes for thirty days, sometimes for ninety — using pure mulberry silk and real silver-gilt zari threads.
We supply boutiques and bridal houses across India while welcoming brides directly to our Varanasi showroom for bespoke commissions.

From Thread to Drape
The making of a masterpiece.
1Dyeing the Silk
Raw mulberry silk threads are hand-dyed in copper vats using natural pigments to achieve rich, lasting colours.
2Winding the Zari
Pure silver-gilt zari is carefully wound onto bobbins, ready to be woven into intricate floral jaals.
3Weaving on the Loom
Master karigars spend weeks on traditional handlooms, weaving each motif with precision and prayer.
